‘Designing the skills agenda for manufacturing in post-Brexit Britain’
Don’t miss this inspiring talk by Christopher Nieper, MD of clothing brand David Nieper, and owner of one of the largest sewing factories in the UK
David Nieper Limited will become Britain’s first fashion manufacturing company to privately sponsor a school. Hear the company’s MD, Christopher Nieper, tell his inspirational story of survival and success at this year’s Meet the Manufacturer event, organised by Make it British.
One of the greatest threats to the renaissance of British manufacturing is a lack of skills. So we are delighted that Christopher has agreed to tackle the issue of skills development at this year’s event.
Christopher’s talk will be one of a number of free-drop in seminars at Meet the Manufacturer 2017. Other inspiring speakers include: · Simon Cotton of Johnstons of Elgin and Hal Watts of Unmade on ‘Innovation meets Heritage’ and husband and wife team, Kate and Graham Holbrook from Turtle Doves on ‘How to make a million with an old sewing machine and a design idea’.
Meet the Manufacturer is proud to be the only sourcing event exclusively for UK fashion, textiles and homeware manufacturers and British-made brands. This year’s trade show will be the biggest and best yet with over 150 exhibitors!
