CONFERENCE 2016

Following on from our sell-out conferences in 2014 & 2015 we have gathered together another line up of inspiring speakers from across the industry.

The conference talks run from 9.30am-1.30pm. This allows you to hear from all our speakers and still have plenty of time to browse the trade show afterwards and meet all of our great exhibitors.

DAY ONE – 25th May 2016

Heritage versus Innovation is the theme for the opening day of our conference in 2016. The rapid pace of change is driving even the most traditional brands to reconsider the need for an innovation strategy. We will be exploring some of the innovations that will have an effect on the UK textile industry and how they will change the shape of our business in the future.

The morning will include an inspiring line-up of innovators in manufacturing and fashion brands, providing advice and real-life experiences.

Designing the future of UK manufacturing‘ will be our topic for day two.
In this new era of opportunity and challenge we will be celebrating the designers and makers who are changing the landscape of UK manufacturing. The MTM conference will bring together some of the top names in the industry to determine what defines a British-designed and British-made product and explore how brands are collaborating with factories or even setting up their own.
Talks will also include a ‘me and my manufacturer’ panel discussion, which will bring together designers and manufacturers to share the secrets of building a good partnership with your factory.
